This week we noticed an overload on our server. We noticed HalThePenguin signing off and sometimes not being able to answer to AIMs. We checked the logs and we see that HalThePenguin has thousands of users chatting with him and our software is having a hard time copying with the traffic. We are trying to do some upgrades and have a programmer working with the software to find a way to deal with this problem. At this time HalThePenguin seems to be working, but if you encounter problems we apologize. We are working on this issue and hope to fix it. Looking at the logs we noticed that HalThePenguin had carried 200K conversations during the month of february. People love chatting with HalThePenguin and we see many users coming back to talk to Hal and staying for long periods of time chatting with our robot. We are working on some technology improvements to the HalThePenguin code. We hired a great programmer to look at the code and see how we can make a better HalThePenguin. We have a few other robots but HalThePenguin seems to be the most popular and the one that people like to talk the most. HalThePenguin has a the tendency to curse at people and amazingly this is what makes him the most popular bot. The thing that surprises us the most is that we get emails asking if we are playing a joke and if there is a real person behind HalThepenguin the Answer is NO. We will be developing a few advanced robots that can access rss feeds for the most popular resources on the internet for news, technology, politics, and anything that is important for you. Right now you can sample the technology using PenguinSmarty Send a message to PenguinSmarty and type rss you will get a list of some of the rss feeds we support. Just type the keyword to access the RSS imrobotmaker|at|yahoo.com You basically type the keyword of the rss feeds you want to read. type keyword wired to read the most recent wired rss feed. Craigslist over AIM CRAIGSLIST OVER AIM: Say Hello to our new robot clbotbuddy an im robot buddy that allows you to view craigslist posts over AOL instant messenger. We just love craigslist and visit the site all the time. We search for computers, real estate and even check out the jobs. One of our programmers came up with this code to be able to browse the postings right from our AIM client. We will be using XML parsing to access the craigslist rss feeds and access the 10 most recent postings on any city and section we want. How to use clbotbuddy Take a minute and look at these 3 urls. http://newyork.craigslist.org/gms/ http://sfbay.craigslist.org/hea/ http://chicago.craigslist.org/pet You can see that there are 3 cities and 3 different craigslist sections. cities: newyork, sfbay, chicago as you can see you need a city and a section to browse.

So, now let's say you live in San Francisco Bay Area and you are looking for technical support jobs. Now you can surf for jobs at work without keeping your browser open all the time .
